Amritsar or historically known as Ramdaspur, is a city situated in Punjab, in the north-western part of India. The city is located at about 217km northwest from the state capital- Chandigarh. The city is in close proximity to Pakistan; with Wagah Border being only 28km away. Hinduism is the largest religion in Amritsar; followed by Sikhism.
