About Agartala:

Agartala is the capital and the largest city of Tripura. In the North-East, it is also the second largest city both in terms of population and municipal area. The city of New Delhi is served by the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The airport is located in Palam at about 16 km from center of the city. The airport is named after the former Prime Minister of India- 'Indira Gandhi'. Since the year 2009, Indira Gandhi International Airport is the busiest airport in the country in terms of passenger traffic, and it is the second busiest airport in terms of cargo traffic. Airport Authority of India administers the airport, but prior it was managed and operated by the Indian Air Force. Then in the year 2006, airport management was transferred to Delhi International Airport Limited, a corporation initiated by the GMR Group. The airport hosts many airline carriers like IndiGo, GoAir, Vistara, Jet Airways, Air India, and Air India Regional. These airline carriers offer cheap flight tickets between the two destinations. The airport currently comprises of two active terminals, a cargo terminal and a devoted Hajj terminal.
