About Agartala:

Agartala is the capital and the largest city of Tripura. In the North-East, it is also the second largest city both in terms of population and municipal area. It is also among the fastest growing cities of India. In the eastern region of India, Agartala is the prime center of politics, education and commerce. The largest city in the eastern region; Guwahati is in close proximity of Agartala. The Bangladesh border is also located about 2km from Agartala. The Agartala Airport is situated about 12km from the northwest of the city. The Airport Authority of India administer the airport. After the city of Imphal, Agartala is the third busiest domestic airport in the north east region. Airline carriers like Air India, Spice Jet and IndiGo operate one scheduled flight to and fro from the airport. The bus stand and Railway station are in close proximity. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport: IATA CODE (HYD)

Hyderabad city is served by Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. It is situated in Shamshabad, at about 14 miles to the south of Hyderabad. The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh-Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy named the airport after the former Prime Minster of India- Rajiv Gandhi. Commercial Operations of the airport were initiated on 23rd March 2008. In India, in terms of passenger traffic; it is the fifth busiest airport. Hyderabad Airport has an integrated terminal. Domestic and International flights arrive and depart from the same terminal. The airport also comprises of a special Haj Terminal. It basically handles a massive crowd during the Haj Season. Due to large number of Muslims in Hyderabad, the authorities planned to build this special terminal to maintain the rush during the season.
